Description
The Oyster Perpetual Rolex Deepsea features a helium escape valve at 9 o’clock, which relieves the excessive pressure built up inside the case when the diver decompresses in the hyperbaric chamber, protecting the diver’s watch from damage.
The Rolex Deepsea is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel with a black Cerachrom 60-minute graduated insert, allowing divers to stay on the seafloor and decompress for safety. Made from extremely tough and corrosion-resistant ceramic, the patented Rolexbezel insert is resistant to scratching and does not fade even when exposed to ultraviolet light. The numerals and graduations engraved on the ceramic bezel are coated with platinum using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating technology. The outer ring teeth allow the outer ring to rotate and help the diver set the dive time, even with gloves.
The unidirectional rotatable bezel of the Oyster Perpetual Rolex Deepsea is made from an extremely tough and corrosion-resistantceramic that is not easy to scratch and does not fade even when exposed to ultraviolet light. Die-cast numerals and graduations are coated with platinum using PVD physical vapor deposition technology to help divers set their dive times.
