This third generation of Green Ghost no longer uses the all-green look of the second generation Green Ghost 116610LV from 2010 but returns to the style of the first generation Green Ghost 16610LV from 2003, featuring a green bezel and a black dial. It’s said that the reason for moving away from the all-green color scheme is that Rolex thinks it was too flashy. The new Green Ghost changes the face back to black to make it look more understated.

I also found a photo of my old first-generation Green Ghost 16610LV. Compared to this third generation of Green Ghost, the color scheme is the same, and the look is very similar. You can see that Rolex has kept a strong connection from one generation to the next. However, while keeping the look, the details and technical features are always being updated.
