The creation of an iconic luxury men’s watch through Cartier’s first workshop refinement of a self-winding chronograph movement; challenging conventions while respecting tradition, the perfect combination of groundbreaking appearance and deep historical heritage once again demonstrates the unique design talent; bringing a modern twist to traditional craftsmanship and creating a stunning watch after hundreds of hours of meticulous work are all the best examples of the energy and creativity of Cartier watchmaking.
Created in 2010 with its sturdy lines and solid case, the Calibre de Cartier is a unique timekeeping masterpiece through a striking balance of frosting and polishing.
In 2013, Cartier equipped the Calibre de Cartier with a new workshop chronograph Calibre 1904-CH MC, which gives the sporty watch a strong and resolute character.
The Calibre de Cartier chronograph is equipped with the first self-winding chronograph movement developed in-house by Cartier and is available in eight versions, from stainless steel to white gold set with diamonds, with leather or metal bracelets. These sporty models reinforce the adventurous spirit of the Calibre de Cartier.
It is a watch with outstanding design features: two counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, a fluted bezel with a minute track scale on the flange of the dial, and a large Roman numeral index, XII, on top of the chronograph counters. The addition of two chronograph pushers and crown guards adds a touch of dynamism to the watch.
