Not long ago, Cartier’s 2016 SIHH new series Drive De Cartier was fully launched. Recently, the author learned that the new series of watches is now more complete in its basic arrival, and the price is more competitive among brands at the same level.
In recent years, Cartier has been making a successful push in the world of fine watchmaking, with new collections and concepts appearing more and more often, even once a year. Cartier’s 2016 SIHH new collection Drive De Cartier quickly became popular with a cushion-shaped case. Although the cushion-shaped case isn’t unique to Cartier or new this year (it has been around for decades), the Drive De Cartier isn’t just a traditional cushion case. The redesigned case has a more modern and elegant look, full of charm. The watch is powered by an in-house movement, while the slim case highlights the watch‘s quality.
In addition to those red and purple balloons, tanks, and other series, Cartier’s understated but not simple calibre de CARTIER clearly doesn’t attract much attention. This series is well-balanced in design, suitable for both casual and business styles. The overall style of the watch is subtle and ranges from basic to complex. This Cartier is an all-precious metal model with a basic calendar function and is powered by the 1904-PS MC automatic calibre, based on the in-house 1904MC calibre. From a certain point of view, the value of this watch is more in its appearance; the all-metal look, including the bracelet, is indeed impressive.
