It’s funny to think back on being a child because the memories that stand out are often embarrassing moments, mischievous acts that secretly made you feel bad, and silly behaviors that desperately wanted to grow up. However, when I think back to my childhood, I will never forget the bell ringing every hour in my grandmother’s room and the scene where my grandmother opened the small door under thewall clock and used the key to wind the wall clock. The wall clock, which should have been outdated by now, looks out of place in the modern decor, but my grandmother saw it as a treasure; perhaps it represents a memory that belongs to her.
With this inspiration, Cartier has reimagined the modern crown and designed a winding crown similar to the one used in the past. After many years, reminiscing about my childhood is like having a lilac dream, and the new Clé de Cartier watch with a shiny fuchsia alligator leather strap brings such a dreamy feeling.
