The cheetah motif inspired Cartier‘s watchmakers, each time bringing us a new visual surprise. This time, with a bold addition to the Ronde Louis Cartier cheetah-decorated watch, a new frontier in watchmaking opens up.
The principle of the flame gold process is to change the color of the metal surface by heating. This process has extremely high requirements for controlling heat; the color on the dial changes with the temperature. Blue corresponds to the highest temperature, and beige corresponds to the lowest temperature. This technique used to be used in making blued steel hands, but Cartier has applied it to the dial with innovation. Before the gold dial is heated by a flame, the cheetah fur pattern is carefully “painted” on the 18-carat gold dial. Each time the dial is heated, a new color appears, and the different colors are applied by the master craftsman until the complete pattern is richly layered.
The master craftsmen who can create such a complex timepiece are also remarkable people. They must be extremely dedicated and have a good understanding of their craft. Creating such a watch requires them to know every step of the process and every detail, to anticipate what might happen, and to foresee the conditions needed for the perfect result from the start and make appropriate adjustments.

A very pleasant shopping experience. The watch is very beautiful, the material is very good, the time is also very punctual, and the logistics is OK. After all, it is so far from the United States. It is a Christmas gift for myself.
