Cartier’s silver-plated pearlescent dial continues the large Roman numerals of the Santos de Cartier collection, with rail-shaped dials to make the time display clearer, and blued steel sword-shaped hands.
The crown design on the side also features the Cartier logo. The heptagonal crown is meant to help the wearer keep time accurately, and the stainless steel material matches the case, set with a multi-faceted synthetic spinel, adding more noble charm to the watch.
The silver strap in stainless steel is finely detailed and is paired with a second interchangeable calfskin strap. The patented QuickSwitch system (strap/bracelet) allows it to be quickly removed at the touch of a button and replaced according to the wearer’s mood or needs. Additionally, the “SmartLink” technology (bracelet) allows you to change links without tools, and you can easily adjust them by pressing the quick-release button on the metal link.
The caseback is sealed to fit the movement perfectly. The new model is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement made in theCartier 1847 MC workshop, water-resistant to 100 meters.
