The original Omega Speedmaster “CK2998” watch, launched in 1959 at Baselworld 2016, has become one of the most desired antique Speedmaster watches among fans worldwide.
Now, Omega has created a new Speedmaster “CK2998” limited edition watch inspired by this classic. On one hand, the design retains most of the outstanding elements of the original style; on the other hand, it has been improved and innovated to cater to the preferences of the new generation of users.
The glossy and frosted all-steel case complements the silvery opaline dial. There are other pleasing design elements, including rhodium-plated beveled hour and minute hands and subdial hands, while the chronograph seconds hand replicates the original style’s “Lollipop” shape. This highly collectible watch is limited to 2,998 pieces. The limited edition number is printed on the back of the watch and engraved with the seahorse logo, the Ω logo, and the words “SPEEDMASTER”.
The legendary Speedmaster watch has always been imbued with historical grace, and the new limited edition model also inherits classic elements and is equipped with the famous Omega 1861 movement, the first “Moon Watch” movement of the year.
