It has been 15 years since Aqua Terra was launched in 2002. It has become a classic for many reasons: a wide range of styles, durability, waterproof to 150 meters, precise coaxial movement, etc.
It has various visual features that Omega should have: case shape, curved lugs, broad arrow hands, triangular hour markers, etc. This year’s new Aqua Terra has both the heritage mentioned above and some updates.
The first is the case, which is still a steel case, and the bezel and lugs are still very basic, but this is a classic that will never go out of style. Therefore, you may be thinking that it may not have changed anything in appearance. Wrong, as the saying goes: details determine everything! The 41mm caliber replaced the original 41mm. It’s not much, but the proportions of the entire watch are better than before.
Secondly, there is the specific shell type. Although the old and new watches don’t look much different, the left and right sides of the new Aqua Terra’s case are completely symmetrical. The previous Aqua Terra was thicker and stronger on the right side, so part of the crown was inside the case and was not completely exposed. The reason for redesigning the shape of the case is to perfectly demonstrate the concept of symmetrical design. After redesign, compared with the previous model, if you look at it from the front, except for the crown, you will find that the new model is completely balanced and symmetrical.
The crown itself is also different. Compared with the previous version, the current version has a slight slope towards the case, making it easier to operate in practice.
Dorothy Halifax –
Because I am going to Hong Kong on a business trip, the watch I bought here happens to be made in China, so I plan to wear it and let my friends in Hong Kong see if it is a good watch. There is no problem wearing it now. I will tell everyone when I come back.
