Human beings have drawn much creative inspiration from the vast universe and bright stars. The design of the Omega Constellation series watch, launched in 1952, was inspired by the precise movement of stars.
The most striking feature of the watch I’m reviewing today is the dial made of real meteorites. Each dial is one-of-a-kind. Omega has a long history with space, and the Constellation series, inspired by the exact movement of stars, makes the use of this material fitting. Iron meteorites are favored by watchmakers for their criss-crossing Widmanstätten pattern, a band-like design created by acid etching meteorites.
They feature the classic design elements of the Constellation series, including the polished claw design and the signature half-moon shape on both ends of the case.
The stainless steel bezel is set with diamonds, and Omega has carefully considered the cutting to achieve extraordinary brightness and sparkle. The dial of this watch has diamond hour markers, and the hands and star logo are made of 18K white gold.
