Breitling, known for its chronograph and aviation background, presents the new Navitimer 8 collection. The collection is named after the number “8” to honor the Breitling “Huit Aviation Flight Division,” founded in 1938 by Willy Breitling, the third generation of the brand’s leaders. (“Huit” means “8” in French.) The division focuses on cockpit timers for both civilian and military aircraft, as well as classic aviation watches.
Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, who took office in the summer of 2017, is excited about the launch of this new collection. “The new Navitimer 8 collection not only carries on Breitling‘s rich history, but also highlights our leading position in chronograph making,” he said. “While honoring our past and traditions, this new collection also signals something even more important – it opens the door to a future that will lead us to a better tomorrow.”
The new Breitling Navitimer 8 collection brings together five different models that continue the oldest and most celebrated history of watchmaking, embodying the essence of the Breitling brand, as well as the technical features of the first cockpit timers and Navitimer watches, all of which are backed by the “Huit Aviation Flight Division.”
