Powered by calibre 3235, a new generation of automatic movements developed and made by Rolex, the new Rolex Deepsea embodies Rolex‘s innovative skills and top-notch watchmaking craftsmanship, improving its accuracy, power reserve, resistance to shocks and magnetic fields, and ease of use. It is equipped with Rolex‘s patented Chronergy escapement, a new mechanism made of nickel phosphorus that is not only efficient and reliable, but also resistant to magnetic fields. The balance spring assembly, the heart of the watch, features a blue Parachrom hairspring. This hairspring is made of a special alloy created by Rolex, which is not only resistant to magnetic fields, but also withstands shocks up to ten times better than a regular hairspring. The hairspring also has a Rolex final loop to ensure stability in different positions.

The Oyster strap of the Rolex Deepsea comes with an Oyster safety clasp that prevents the clasp from being accidentally opened. There is also a double extension system that allows you to wear it comfortably even when wearing wetsuits up to 7 mm thick. Rolex‘s patented Rolex Glidelock mechanism uses a rack under the buckle to extend in a range of about 2 mm per block to a maximum of around 20 mm. The Oyster discount extension links allow the Rolex Deepsea strap to be extended by an extra 26 mm. Both sets have been resized and fitted with a new larger strap.
