The case is set with 120 Paraiba tourmalines and 56 tsavorites, both of which are also known as up-and-coming stars in the jewelry world.Paraiba tourmaline, a greenish-blue tourmaline, is often compared with aquamarine, which is also clear with a slight greenish tint.
Compared to the traditional bead prong setting, the diamond gems are directly set into the case. The8 pointsof each gem and diamond are secured more firmly, reducing metal coverage and making the piece more brilliant and attractive. Each setting slot is also handmade to accommodate the varying sizes of the gemstones.
On the other side of the watch is Cartier’s classic bead-shaped crown, topped with a 0.13-carat brilliant-cut diamond.
The front view of the watch shows a two-tone jewel with a spiral design surrounding a pavé diamond plate. The diamond dial features a classic prong setting, with two gold sword-shaped hands telling the time.
