From the modular nature of Breitling-made movements, which allows for easier assembly, cleaning, and repair, to revolutionary materials like Breitlight®, a strong material that is 5.8 times lighter than stainless steel, Breitling‘s researchers are responsible for industry-leading advancements. The brand currently holds 25 caliber manufacturing and casing patents.
Few other independent watchmakers are able to produce their own movements on the scale that Breitling does. In order to meet the demand for watches while offering the highest quality products, Breitling started from the ground up and proposed a seamless assembly method that optimizes the workflow between automated tasks and superb manual craftsmanship, which is the basis of fine watchmaking.
Our movements range from simple three-hand chronographs to chronograph movements to highly complex movements such as seconds, full calendar, and tourbillon. We also have non-mechanical movements, powered by our proprietary superquartz technology. To give you a feel for the complexity involved in making a movement, the Breitling Made Movement 01 contains a whopping 346 components that are carefully assembled and calibrated by hand in the factory.
Jane E. Brown –
I chose the super mechanical chronograph, one is that the appearance style is more in line with my eyes, and the other is for the word “new product”, which has been released for less than a year, and the probability of hitting the watch is lower. I would like to share a few interesting use experiences: the large dial is eye-catching, and it is very convenient to peek at the time when meeting with customers; Although the tape is comfortable to wear, it has a Breitling embossing on the inside, and if it is buckled too tightly, it will be “stamped”; The second time zone feature is so touching that you don’t have to mentally calculate the off-duty hours of your Barcelona customers every day.
