From November 26th to 29th, 2020, the circle is square, and it has its own world; boundless and creative. To celebrate the successful return of the Pasha de Cartier collection, Cartier presents a creative experience at the Power Station of Art, Shanghai: the concept of time is extended in the medium of “square circle.” With the conclusion of the week-long pop-up exhibition in Shanghai, eight groups of new Chinese artists have moved to the exhibition site, along with the masterpieces of Pasha de Cartier, representing the leading trends of different eras, to turn this “art powerhouse” into a lively and dynamic interactive gathering place.
Born in 1985, this legendary watch is inspired by the Cartier brand’s ongoing innovation and interpretation, paying tribute to the present era, from the quest for freedom and style in the 80s, to the eclectic unisex appeal of the 90s, to the embrace of various fashion styles at the start of the 21st century.
For the first time, the Pasha de Cartier watch and table clock, a symbol of the spirit of the times, will be showcased in this exhibition, which includes 18 valuable masterpieces from the Cartier archive. In the different styles of the “Fangyuan” dial, Cartier’s endless exploration is displayed, and the sparkling historical moments reveal a unique charm in the simple and modern showcase: the square circle is in shape, and the heart is unbounded.
