To celebrate the 170th anniversary of the brand’s watchmaking and to honor the Art Deco exhibition of 1925, Cartier presents the new Tank Louis Cartier (Ref. CRWGTA0121). Combining a platinum case with an Art Deco blue dial, this watch is available exclusively in Europe.
Measuring 33.7 mm long, 25.5 mm wide, and just 8.6 mm thick, the new model features a case of 950 platinum that has been polished and brushed alternately for a refined look. Equipped with a mineral crystal, a crown set with a ruby cabochon, and a platinum case back, this timepiece is water-resistant up to 30 meters. The case back is engraved with limited edition text and leaves space for personal engraving.
The dial is in a deco style, laser-engraved with fine textures and PVD to achieve a blue color, and the play of lines and light creates a sense of depth and color. Rhodium-plated stainless steel sword-shaped hands with oversized Roman numerals decorate this timepiece, which is powered by the 1917MC oval-shaped, ultra-thin hand-wound movement, just 2.9 mm thick, with 19 jewels, operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and offering a power reserve of 38 hours.
The Cartier Tank Louis Cartier watch in platinum comes with a semi-matte blue alligator leather strap with a 950 platinum buckle. The watch is limited to 170 pieces.
