At the 23rd Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie de Genève, the new Cartier d’Art collection of Haute Horlogerie features a dazzling watch made from a nearly rare piece of metal beading. At the same time, the Calibre de Cartier, equipped with the first automatic chronograph movement made in a Cartier workshop, brings accuracy and precision to the function of a high-end men’s watch.
The new Cartier d’Art luxury watch is made from a nearly rare piece of metal beading, with a cheetah head engraved in gold seeds, which floats vividly and three-dimensionally on the dial, emitting a dazzling light.
At the same time, the Calibre de Cartier, equipped with the first automatic chronograph movement made in a Cartier workshop, brings accuracy and precision to the function of fine men’s watches, adding a more modern touch to ancient craftsmanship.
Driven by a strong curiosity about the world and its wonders, this year Cartier is passionate about a goldsmithing craft that dates back to the dawn of human civilization: the art of metal beads. To bring this ancient, rare, and almost lost craft back to life, Cartier has carefully adapted and refined it to reinterpret it even better.
Crafted from metal beads, the Cartier d’Art Haute Horlogeriebrings new life to an ancient and precious craft that dates back to the first half of the third millennium BC.
