In 2017, Cartier launched a special Clé de Cartier model to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of SKP in Beijing, limited to 8 pieces.
Cartier’s limited-edition men’s watch is a deep and elegant piece in a calm and pure black color palette, featuring a 40 mm diameter dial in Cartier’s signature black guilloché pattern, an 18-carat rhodium-plated white gold case, and a dazzling deep blue sapphire on the crown.
Named after the key-like winding crown, the Clé de Cartier is a limited edition that continues the classic design of the Cartier Keycollection. The pleasant, crisp sound when winding the watch is reminiscent of the old tradition of using a key to wind a timepiece.
Inside the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, it features a Cartier-1847MCworkshop-made automatic movement with a fast-rotating barrel for greater stability. The bi-directional automatic winding mechanism is particularly sturdy thanks to a specially designed lever system. Decorated with waves of Geneva, the movement includes a semi-instantaneous date display and a power reserve of 42 hours.
Geoffrey Longman –
The watch is very exquisite. It is a birthday gift for my father-in-law. I gave it to him on his birthday. He liked it very much and shed tears with excitement. After all, this is not cheap. Our family income is not high after the epidemic, so it is a relatively large expense.
