From November 26th to 29th, 2020, the circle is square, and it has its own world; boundless and creative. To celebrate the successful return of the Pasha de Cartier collection, Cartier presents a creative experience at the Power Station of Art, Shanghai: the idea of time is explored through the “square circle.” With the end of the week-long pop-up exhibition in Shanghai, eight groups of new Chinese artists have come to the exhibition site, along with the masterpieces of Pasha de Cartier, showcasing the leading trends of different eras, turning this “power plant of art” into a lively and engaging place.
Born in 1985, this legendary watch is inspired by the Cartier brand’s ongoing innovation and its tribute to the current era, from the pursuit of freedom and style in the ’80s, to the diverse unisex appeal of the ’90s, to the multi-fashion trend at the start of the 21st century.
For the first time, the Pasha de Cartier watch and table clock, symbols of the times, will be featured in this exhibition, which includes 18 valuable pieces from the Cartier archive. In the various styles of the “square circle” dial, Cartier’s endless exploration is highlighted, and the sparkling historical moments reveal a unique charm in the modern and straightforward showcase: the square circle is in shape, and the heart is limitless.
