According to records in the Cartier archives, the prototype of the Pasha de Cartier watch dates back to 1943. In the four decades since, iconic elements such as bold lines, grille decorations, Arabic numerals, screw-locked crowns, and square studs have been an endless source of inspiration for Pasha watch designs.
In 1985, the Pasha de Cartier was launched. Its name pays tribute to the Pasha of Marrakesh, a fan of fine watchmaking and a loyal customer of Louis Cartier.
As a result, the Pasha de Cartier was an instant hit, giving Cartier a constant source of inspiration: from the first Pasha C in stainless steel (1995) to the elegant Pasha 32 (1998), from the bold Pasha 42 (2005) to the lively Miss Pasha mini (2009). A wide range of watches, just to name a few.
