In keeping with the style of the Pasha de Cartier watch collection, the new models show a strong character, exceptional watchmaking excellence, and a varied style.
In 1985, the Pasha de Cartier watch was introduced. The name is a tribute to Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakesh (Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakesh, a title given to high-ranking officials in the Ottoman Empire) and a watch collector and loyal customer of the brand from the 20s to the 50s of the 20th century. Its design is inspired by a waterproof watch made in 1943 with a protective grille, which is now in the Cartier archive.
In 2022, the Pasha de Cartier Grille is back. The grille design is even more eye-catching on this piece: the round-to-square dial is complemented by four large Arabic numerals, creating a contrasting geometric look; an elaborate grille adds more dimension to the dial, while the details are polished entirely by hand.
