The carefully crafted watch consists of gold links that form a grid structure with interlocking parts and a new feature that lets the case shrink and stretch freely. This design is a first in Cartier’s history, and the different sizes and colors of the stones make it even more challenging to create. Because of the watch’s flexible design, the setter must first fix the watch with resin and then release it, which makes the production process more complicated.
