The new Day-Date 36 is fitted with a Heads strap. Specially designed for the famous Oyster Perpetual Day-Date launched in 1956, the three-piece solid-link Führer bracelet is crafted exclusively in 18-karat gold or 950 platinum and is exclusive to the Day-Date and precious metal versions.
The first of the three new models is fitted with a green aventurine dial and an 18-carat Everose gold Heads bracelet; the second comes with a carnelian dial and an 18-karat yellow gold Heads bracelet; the third model features a turquoise dial and an 18-karat white gold Heads bracelet. The bracelet features an elegant, concealed folding crown clasp with a Rolex-designed and patented ceramic component for added flexibility.
Like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 is covered by the Superlative Chronometer certification, which was updated by Rolex in 2015. This unique label certifies that each watch has successfully passed a series of tests carried out in the Rolex lab. In addition, the movements of these watches are also certified by the Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) of Switzerland. The test is carried out after the assembly and movement is mounted in the case to ensure that the watch performs well in terms of accuracy, power reserve, waterproofness, and self-winding. With an average error of plus or minus two seconds per day, the accuracy of the Superlative Chronometer is far better than that of chronometers certified by the Official Chronometer of Switzerland.
