Breitling’s iconic pilot’s chronograph – built for your journey.
In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a wrist-worn chronograph with a circular flight slide to help pilots calculate all key flight data. Two years later, aircraft owners and the World Pilots Association (AOPA) declared the watch its official timepiece. The “navigation timer” – the Navitimer – was born.
AOPA was (and still is) the largest pilot club in the world, with nearly all American pilots as members. During the heyday of civil aviation, the Navitimer, as the de facto pilot’s watch, was worn by airline captains and aircraft enthusiasts. In 1962, astronaut Scott Carpenter even wore this watch into space. It’s not just pilots who are drawn to the unmatched beauty of this watch. Celebrities like Miles Davis and Serge Gainsbourg were loyal fans of the Navitimer, proving that this watch was both stylish and functional.
All Breitling watches carry the Swiss Made label. This seal of quality and craftsmanship is awarded to brands that produce their products almost entirely in Switzerland. Breitling watches are designed, developed, assembled, and tested in Switzerland.
Beverly –
Watch is designed for men with small wrists. I had to pay extra to add links for my husband.
